ABSTRACT
February 2011 marked the twentieth anniversary of the establishment of the Visegrad Group (V4), a community initiative that forms the basis of institutional cooperation between the Czech Republic, Poland, Slovakia and Hungary. The main reason for its creation was the concentration of the efforts of the member states on the joint achievement of membership in NATO and the EU. Having achieved these goals, a question arose related to the maintenance of cooperation within the framework outlined earlier. It was decided that the Visegrad Group would still serve the cooperation of the four countries, but in slightly different dimensions. The research analysis will focus on Karl Deutsch's constructivist theory and the theory of the security community.
