ABSTRACT
Kosovo - the state itself and its independence - arouses many emotions in the world. There are arguments about the possibility of destabilizing the situation in the entire Western Balkans and voices about Kosovo's unconditional return to Serbia. The aim of the article is to show the attitude of the international community to Kosovo's independence, taking into account the opinions of its inhabitants, as well as the impact of the situation in Kosovo on security in the region.
