ABSTRACT
The issue of parliamentary control of the Common Security and Defense Policy remains an area practically unknown in the field of scientific research. The article tries to answer many questions concerning the role and possibilities of institutionalizing the cooperation of parliaments of the EU Member States in this area. With the entry into force of the Lisbon Treaty, the Member States launched an interparliamentary debate on the future shape of cooperation in this field. The article presents the approaches and proposed ways of solving this problem by individual countries, and highlights their advantages and disadvantages. The article is also a commentary on European experiences, practices and possibilities in the field of parliamentary control over the Common Foreign and Security Policy.
