ABSTRACT
In the article author presents a wide scope perspective on suicide, understood as an apogee of unfriendly life-stand against oneself as it becomes the example of extreme form of existential
insecurity. vere is a background for this conception evolving within a theme of diperent subjects in
philosophy, psychology, sociology or culture studies. Main view on this suicidal notion is being described in historical perspective, since as the author argues, act of suicide is one of the more common
phenomenon of human desperation in face of history. Position towards a suicide is a factor in many
cultures describing, among the others, conditions of civilizations’ progress. Suicidology, a subject connected to bioethics (tanatology) considers the moral dilemmas linked to physical deconstruction of
a human being in face of social analyses (in humanities) being done in relation to the issues of threat
or annihilation of a human life. verefore, such discussion on this form of existential insecurity can
be rationalized by arguments true for philosophy, sociology, psychology, and law. ve science and
especially the social sciences consider a suicide as an act of aggression directed towards oneself and
a conscious auto destruction contrary to the natural imperative ordering any life to live
