In the last decade, crisis management is an extremely intensively developing field of activity of public administration, the company and enterprise sector, as well as the subject of scientific research and many in-depth analyzes. It is difficult to clearly define the time limits when the concept of crisis management started to function in the public life sector. Certainly, it should be assumed that its elements existed much earlier than the Act on Crisis Management1 dated April 26, 2007. Crisis management is closely related to the broadly understood security and threats that the author of the reviewed publication defines in a comprehensive and thorough manner, referring in it both to its military and non-military aspects. The author has presented his considerations in five chapters, preceded by an introduction and summarized in an ending.
