The article is intended to broaden the knowledge of national security students on the issues of masking, often commonly limited to the understanding of masking as camouflage. The work contains an interpretation of the essence of masking in relation to the psychological laws of the theory of cognition. As a result, several unconventional methods of masking have been proposed.
