ABSTRACT
The introduction of a professional army model and the abandonment of universal conscription created the basis for women to be included in military qualification procedures, giving them formal access to service in the armed forces. For over two decades, women have been eligible to hold all positions within the Polish Armed Forces, and the passage of this time allows for a reliable assessment and drawing appropriate conclusions.
This article aims to demonstrate the specific nature of women's service in the maintenance of military aircraft and to identify the organizational, training, and psychosocial factors that shape their role, position, and conditions of service in the structure of maintaining military aircraft. The subject of this research is women's service in the maintenance of military aircraft. The organizational conditions, training process, scope of tasks, and psychosocial conditions influencing service performance were analyzed. The research problem addressed was expressed as: what is the process of women's service in the maintenance of military aircraft and what challenges are associated with this service? The research employed both theoretical and empirical methods, particularly literature analysis, inductive and deductive reasoning, and a diagnostic survey. The analytical basis for the study was provided by scientific monographs and specialist articles.
The presented material provided a number of interesting conclusions regarding women's service in the military aircraft maintenance system. The study results indicate that women serving in military aircraft maintenance perform their assigned tasks with a high level of professionalism, in accordance with applicable procedures and safety standards. The study group is also characterized by high professional competence, significant commitment, and satisfaction with their service, while also addressing selected organizational and psychosocial barriers. This article provides a basis for further analysis of factors contributing to the retention of women in the military aviation engineering and aeronautical services, as well as for improving training, collaboration coordination, and safety culture mechanisms.
