The publication attempts to analyze the manifestations of globalization that may have a direct or indirect impact on the social and political security of the state. As it is noted, the processes of globalization may have a direct or indirect social and political impact on the security of the state. The introduction to the article presents the opportunities and threats accompanying the processes of the globalizing world. On the other hand, the main part refers to two thematic areas closely related to the subject of interest of the study. The first one presents the essence, evolution and specific properties of the newly created global system. In turn, the second area of ​​considerations was focused on the identification and description of global premises and conditions of national security in the social and political dimension. The changes and correlations taking place between individual areas simultaneously change the overall perception of the problem.
