TASKS OF THE POLISH ARMED FORCES IN THE STATE DEFENSE SYSTEM

ABSTRACT
Pursuant to Art. 26 of the Constitution of the Republic of Poland, the Armed Forces of the Republic of Poland serve to protect the independence of the state and the integrity of its territory, and to ensure the security and inviolability of its borders. In addition to the tasks set out in the Constitution of the Republic of Poland, the Armed Forces perform a number of tasks within the country. First of all, they support the units reporting to the minister of internal affairs in the performance of their tasks of ensuring order and internal security of the state. The author presents the legal regulations that are the basis for the use of the Armed Forces to defend the state, in crisis and humanitarian response operations, and to support other constitutional bodies ensuring internal security.
