In recent years, much has been said about the rebuilding of China's power and the possibility of it taking over the position of the dominant power in the international arena. The possible first place by the Middle Kingdom is directly related to the need for acceptance (the acceptance of the strongest voice - ie the West) for such power is of particular importance - common points are needed that would foster trust. The basic point that determines most of the rest is the political system. For this reason, the article presents the dispute between the democratization process and the ideology and actions of the Communist Party of China, while taking into account cultural, historical and social aspects as well as the influence of the West and globalization.
