The article presents the results of surveys of students of the Military University of Technology on the conflict in Ukraine, in the context of their sense of personal safety and the emotions that
are felt in relation to media reports on the matter. In a globalized world, the social shaping of emotion
takes place mainly through the media. Globalization favors the formation of uncertainty. The authors
assume that emotions have no less impact on attitudes than knowledge of reality. Study of the dynamics
of emotions can produce interesting conclusions about social change.
