ABSTRACT
The purpose of this article is to discuss and analyze strategic concepts implemented by public authorities in the Republic of Poland. The main research problem presented in this article is to answer the question: what are the strategic concepts of Poland's national security? This issue can be addressed by presenting and defining all the plans and strategic assumptions for national security that have been developed in Poland in recent years. Furthermore, their impact on Poland's security environment should be identified, as well as the benefits and drawbacks resulting from adopting such a concept. It is also crucial to consider the model of national security strategy that should be adopted to effectively pursue the state's interests. The research hypothesis presented in this article states that a well-formulated concept for Poland's security should encompass all possible strategic areas for the state and be based on multidimensionality in activities undertaken in the arena of international relations, as well as in domestic affairs. When creating strategic concepts for national security, it is advisable to consider all options for the state's development and actions in many areas and disciplines that determine the achievement of its goals and interests. The strategic concept should also address challenges and threats to national security so that it can effectively protect the state from them. Developing crisis response mechanisms is also crucial to ensure that the strategy is based on truly ensuring national security. It is also crucial to construct an effective national security system that would enable the efficient implementation of strategic concepts by public authorities. The concept should also include the necessary forces and resources to achieve strategic national interests. It is also important to consider the public institutions and bodies that will be involved in the implementation of the strategic concept. The complexity of the issues under consideration required the use of multiple research methods, including analysis and comparison of strategic documents and legal acts concerning Poland's national security concept, expert literature detailing issues related to the process of shaping the national security strategy, and available educational materials on state strategy, particularly Poland's strategic security concepts. This framework also served as a basis for synthesis and analogies, defining and presenting strategic concepts of Poland's national security over the years. This allowed for conclusions regarding the directions of the state's strategic policy and the shape of the currently applicable national security concept. The history of Poland's national security strategy development and the related practical experiences served as the basis and reference point for formulating conclusions regarding the shape and form of the new strategic concept for state security.
